Anne Thompson

Anne was born in Orange and grew up in the small town of Molong where she attended the local school. Anne is one of the most personable legal people you could meet, probably due to being a former licenced hairdresser and operating her own salon.

Anne spent 11 years as a union official in the Central West Region during which time she represented workers such as factory employees, farm workers, trades people such as welders and electricians and many others with issues relating to their employment and workers compensation.

After studying at Charles Sturt University she was awarded a degree in business and industrial relations, she then studied at the University of New England and completed her Law Degree.

Practicing mainly in the areas of Family Law, Anne finds it quite rewarding helping people to get through this stressful time in their lives.  Anne frequently appears in Local Court and Family Court proceedings in the Central West and at the various Family Courts in NSW.  Anne feels she has a good ability to listen, and to assist clients who are involved in family law conflicts to achieve the best results they can.  She is also on a Legal Aid panel for family law matters and so is able to help client’s by lodging their Legal Aid applications and then to assist them at mediations and representation in court proceedings.

Anne also practices in many other areas of law and appears at Local Courts representing clients who have Children’s Court care proceedings, driver’s licence and traffic matters and many other types of legal issues.
